Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's unique experiences and establish appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies that focus on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, create effective coping strategies, and promote overall mental well-being.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide integrated and comprehensive care for each patient.

• Deliver crisis intervention services in a compassionate and timely manner during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, desensitizing stigma while empowering them to access available resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to foster a culture of learning and development, with a shared commitment to trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your client base will primarily consist of individuals who have experienced trauma, focusing on those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will have the opportunity to work closely with these patients, providing them with tailored coping strategies and therapeutic support to navigate their unique journeys towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

• Expertise in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities, with a strong foundation in resilience-building techniques.

• Proficiency in evidence-based trauma-focused therapeutic approaches, particularly EMDR and TF-CBT.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to client care.

• Ability to remain composed under pressure and in high-stress scenarios.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
\n
• Adept at working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, we especially value candidates who have extensive backgrounds in trauma therapy, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
