Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine the mental health status of clients.
• Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of clients.
• Facilitate regular therapeutic sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to help clients process their emotions and implement coping strategies.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies effectively, ensuring clients receive immediate support during urgent situations.
• Provide referrals to additional healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, when medication evaluation or further specialized treatment is necessary.
• Document client interactions comprehensively within our electronic health record (EHR) system, maintaining adherence to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings to collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, sharing insights to enhance treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be responsible for working with a diverse array of clients struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Your breadth of experience will allow you to connect with clients from various backgrounds, ensuring that every individual feels heard and valued. Understanding cultural nuances and demonstrating cultural competence will be key to building trust and rapport with your clients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
• Proven ability to engage in both individual and group therapy sessions while employing culturally responsive approaches.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster therapeutic alliances, as well as exceptional communication abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with various evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly those aimed at diverse populations.
• Hands-on expertise in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms to optimize client management and documentation processes.

Compensation and Benefits
