The Premise Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team in Plano, Texas. This full-time position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about providing trauma-informed mental health care and making a positive impact in the lives of those affected by trauma. Work Environment\n

The position is fully remote, allowing flexibility for both our therapists and clients. As a Telehealth facility, we leverage modern technology to connect with patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of care from the comfort of their own homes. The work hours are generally Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling based on the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and current mental health needs.

• Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans, guiding patients through their recovery while promoting resilience and well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a platform for patients to process their trauma, gain insights, and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work in partnership with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for all patients.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, using your expertise to stabilize and guide affected individuals.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, helping them understand the recovery process.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring high-quality documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development related to trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current with evolving research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance your clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma and are seeking mental health support. This includes patients dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. By providing specialized care, you will play a critical role in their healing process, helping them reclaim their lives from the impact of trauma.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in trauma-focused therapy.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n
