Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while utilizing our cutting-edge telehealth platform. Our team operates in a collaborative and supportive environment, where mental health professionals can thrive and share insights. Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required based on patient needs and availability.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological condition and needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that take into consideration developmental stages, family dynamics, and unique patient circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of mental health concerns in young populations.

• Provide family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with tools to foster nurturing environments.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.

• Respond to mental health emergencies, offering timely crisis intervention and support for youth at risk.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and vital community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development initiatives.

• Stay updated on the latest research, therapeutic practices, and advancements in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 5 to 18, addressing a variety of challenges including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and behavioral problems. You'll work closely with families to ensure a collaborative approach to treatment, understanding that parental involvement is crucial in achieving positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
\n
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering effective individual and family therapy tailored to the needs of young clients.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate, child-centered approach to therapy.
\n
• Adept at establishing rapport and building trust with children, adolescents, and families.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engage in shared decision-making.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within a telehealth framework to provide direct mental health services.

• Background in crisis intervention and emergency response involving youth populations.

• Familiarity with treatment planning and care coordination among various mental health services.

Compensation and Benefits\n
