Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Remote School-Based Therapy

Position Overview

Blissful Balance Therapeutic Services is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time remote position will primarily focus on school-based therapy, providing critical mental health services to students and their families. Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible remote work setting, enabling you to connect with clients in a way that suits their lifestyle. Our work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate students’ needs and availability. You will be provided with access to modern technology and tools, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, to facilitate seamless communication and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand and evaluate students’ emotional and psychological needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that utilize various evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused approaches.
• Lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups in schools, addressing common mental health challenges while fostering a supportive community atmosphere.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for students.
• Provide crisis intervention services for students experiencing acute mental health emergencies, serving as a reliable source of support and guidance.
• Educate students, parents, and staff about mental health issues, treatment methodologies, and local resources available to support well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records following legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring high standards of professionalism and accountability.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to stay updated on the latest best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents within the school environment. You will engage with diverse students who may face various mental health challenges, including anxiety, trauma, social struggles, and emotional regulation issues. Your work will significantly impact their academic performance and overall quality of life, as well as support family dynamics and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Extensive knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and a deep understanding of mental health disorders.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed mental health assessments and develop actionable treatment plans.
• Experience providing therapy services to children, adolescents, and families across varied backgrounds.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong critical thinking capabilities and a commitment to ethics and professional boundaries.
• Competence with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant technology tools.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience providing therapy services in a similar setting.
• Experience working in a school environment or with youth populations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems available for students and families.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a lucrative salary, our benefits package includes:
