Work Environment\n

As part of our child and adolescent psychiatry team, you will be working in a supportive remote setting, leveraging digital tools to connect with patients, their families, and fellow clinicians. Our clinic promotes a collaborative atmosphere where every team member’s voice is valued, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care for our clients. The standard work schedule runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of impactful responsibilities, which include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments to understand the unique needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Developing and executing personalized treatment plans by considering individual developmental stages and family dynamics.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), to effectively address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitating family therapy sessions to equip parents and caregivers with strategies to create supportive home environments conducive to healing and growth.
\n
• Working closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure seamless and integrated care for all patients.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, rapidly assessing each situation to prioritize immediate needs.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment modalities, and community resources to enhance their understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Actively participating in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to stay current with the latest advancements in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral issues. The role also demands a compassionate approach to support their families, who play a critical part in ensuring the long-term well-being and mental health of their children.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s Degree, candidates with a Master’s degree or higher in relevant fields, along with at least two years of post-licensure experience, are highly preferred. You should have a strong knowledge base regarding evidence-based treatment modalities, including those specifically effective for children and adolescents. Experience in individual and family therapy is crucial, as well as excellent interpersonal skills fostering a child-centered and trusting therapeutic environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
