This role offers a flexible remote work setting, making it ideal for candidates looking to balance personal and professional commitments while engaging with our dynamic child and adolescent psychiatry team. You will collaborate with child psychiatrists and other skilled professionals to ensure that care is holistic and comprehensive. Meetings and consultations can be conducted virtually to accommodate your schedule, with the core hours of operation from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional evening shifts may be necessary based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the needs, strengths, and challenges of children and adolescents seeking therapy.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that take into consideration developmental stages, family factors, and cultural backgrounds.

• Provide evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to effectively address symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other disorders.

• Offer family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and guardians to support their children’s mental well-being.
\n
• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, ensuring patients receive optimal support and treatment.
\n
• Respond to mental health crises by providing immediate support and intervention for children and adolescents facing acute challenges.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, potential treatment options, and relevant community resources to facilitate ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Remain informed about the latest research, best practices, and advances in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position specifically targets children and adolescents who may experience a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD. You will often work with their families, making your interventions applicable in broader family dynamics and environments.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and effective therapeutic approaches.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and family therapy, particularly in a pediatric context.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a relevant setting, preferably working with children and adolescents.

• Experience with integrated care settings and multidisciplinary teams is a plus.

• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and virtual therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Our competitive salary range for this position is USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
