Although the occasional in-person meeting may be required, most interaction with patients will occur in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand clients' trauma histories, enabling the identification of appropriate and personalized treatment interventions.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that emphasize recovery and resilience, actively involving patients in the treatment process.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each client’s specific needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping clients process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that their safety and well-being are prioritized.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, ensuring they are equipped with knowledge and resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a collaborative approach to trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals impacted by various forms of trauma. This includes patients presenting with PTSD, complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and related mental health challenges. By employing a trauma-informed approach, you will support these clients through their healing journeys, while acknowledging the complexities and sensitivities inherent in their experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to adapt to various computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have at least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with specific focus on trauma-informed therapies. Experience in delivering trauma-focused interventions and a strong understanding of resilience-building techniques are highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
