Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Addiction Counseling, LLC, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments, addressing clients’ trauma histories to inform individualized treatment approaches.

• Collaboratively developing and implementing tailored treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and long-term success.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively support clients.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing trauma, developing adaptive coping strategies, and fostering healing.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients receive holistic and integrated mental health care.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients feel safe and secure.

• Educating clients and their families on trauma, coping mechanisms, and available resources for continued support.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential client records, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced various forms of traumatic events leading to conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Many of our clients may be struggling with profound emotional responses, and your role will be critical in guiding their recovery journey through compassionate, informed therapy.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
\n
• A strong foundation in trauma-informed care and familiarity with trauma-related disorders.

• Exemplary interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• The ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations.
