This role is uniquely positioned to allow flexibility as it operates remotely—ideal for maintaining a work-life balance while delivering essential mental health services. Our outpatient facility in Eudora, Kansas, serves a diverse community, focusing primarily on issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. With a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional evening shifts may be required based on the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the unique needs of children and adolescents seeking assistance.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that consider developmental milestones and family dynamics, collaborating with families to foster an inclusive approach.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to provide effective interventions for various mental health conditions, adapting techniques as necessary based on individual patient feedback.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with tools to create supportive environments for their children.

• Engage in collaborative efforts with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, maintaining consistent communication to ensure synchronized care strategies.

• Offer crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, responding with compassion and expertise to safeguard patient welfare.

• Educate patients and their families on pertinent mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to improve overall understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Ensure meticulous record-keeping practices that comply with all legal and ethical requirements pertaining to patient confidentiality and treatment documentation.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to promote ongoing learning, professional development, and collaboration amongst colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position specifically targets the mental health needs of children and adolescents who may experience diverse challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of valid licensure in the state as an LCMFT, LCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LSCSW.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders along with proven methods of evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in delivering therapy to children and adolescents and conducting family sessions effectively.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and child-centered therapeutic approach.
\n
• Strong capacity to build rapport with children, adolescents, and their families, facilitating a trusting atmosphere conducive to therapy.
\n
• Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity.

• A collaborative spirit, willing to work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal mental health outcomes for patients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of professional experience providing mental health counseling or therapy to children and adolescents.

• Specialized training in evidence-based therapies for the treatment of child and adolescent psychological issues.

• Experience in a school-based setting or outpatient mental health facility is highly desirable.
