Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work comfortably from your home while remaining a vital part of our psychiatry office. You will engage with clients through telehealth tools, facilitating flexible access to mental health services. Our practice operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on client needs. You will utilize various digital platforms to conduct therapy sessions, manage patient records, and maintain communication with team members.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of children and adolescents to identify their needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry, taking into account developmental stages and family dynamics.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other modalities, tailored to each child's unique needs.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, empowering parents and caregivers to foster supportive environments for the youth.

• Collaborate extensively with child psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.

• Offer crisis intervention services, providing timely support during mental health emergencies involving minors.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and engagement in the treatment process.

• Maintain confidential documentation and adhere to all legal and ethical standards, ensuring client information is accurately recorded and stored.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case reviews, sharing insights and recommendations based on your observations.

• Stay current with developments in the field through ongoing education, research, and professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents, ranging from ages 3 to 18. You will address a variety of mental health concerns including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues. The therapist will play a crucial role in the holistic treatment of young individuals, helping them navigate the challenges associated with their mental health while fostering resilience and coping skills.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is preferable.

• Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist in New York state.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience with direct service provision to children and adolescents is preferred.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and relevant therapeutic approaches.

• Proven experience in delivering therapy to individuals and families, showcasing a compassionate and engaging style.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective rapport-building with clients and families.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.

• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Our organization offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
