Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history, strengths, and areas requiring support.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, emphasizing trauma recovery and resilience building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process their trauma experiences, gain coping strategies, and enhance their well-being.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate integrated and comprehensive care for clients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients in need during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, promoting understanding and reducing stigma.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, including progress notes and treatment plans.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and share insights on trauma-informed care strategies.

• Stay informed about the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance practice standards and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on individuals suffering from the effects of trauma, which may include survivors of domestic violence, military veterans, and those with a history of childhood abuse. Our patient population often deals with complex psychological challenges that require a high level of empathy, understanding, and clinical expertise. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field is preferred.

• Proficiency in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• A calm and composed approach in high-stress situations, essential for crisis intervention.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience specifically in trauma-focused therapies and interventions will greatly enhance your ability to succeed in this role. Familiarity with treatment protocols such as EMDR and TF-CBT is highly desirable and will be instrumental in providing effective care. Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
