Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment to prevent disability, relieve pain, and enhance muscle function while maintaining patient safety and care standards.
• Monitoring the implementation of treatment plans by overseeing physical therapy assistants and ensuring compliance with prescribed protocols.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, using diagnostic assessments to inform your treatment strategies.
• Assessing home environments and recommending modifications that support patient independence and functional living.
• Administering manual therapy techniques, traction, massage, and other physical interventions as per the physician's orders.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians to recommend necessary adjustments for optimal patient outcomes.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop, review, and update individualized care plans, while documenting all progress and adjustments in clinical records.
• Providing guidance to patients and families on their rehabilitation protocols, as well as training them in the use of physical therapy devices.
• Supervising and instructing physical therapy assistants during treatment sessions, ensuring they deliver quality care within their scope of practice.
• Maintaining thorough clinical documentation including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries to uphold comprehensive records.
• Engaging with the broader healthcare team to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
• Completing additional responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with individuals in the outpatient setting, catering to a diverse patient demographic that includes post-operative patients, individuals with chronic pain, and those recovering from musculoskeletal injuries. Your role in providing tailored therapy will significantly impact their recovery journey, empowering them to regain function and improve overall well-being.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• One (1) year of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an acute or home care setting.
• Current Physical Therapist licensure in the state of New Jersey, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• A commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and a passion for delivering superior patient care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with patients and their families, providing education and support.
• A proactive, positive attitude and a strong work ethic, coupled with a desire for continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Experience

While a year of experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with experience in outpatient physical therapy settings or specialized rehabilitation services for specific patient populations will be highly regarded. Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations concerning physical therapy is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
