Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function according to individualized care plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities utilizing diagnostic assessments that focus on muscle, nerve, and joint functionalities.
• Oversee the implementation of therapy plans by supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
• Assess the home environment to provide tailored recommendations that enhance client independence during rehabilitation.
• Administer prescribed manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises, guiding clients through their recovery journeys.
• Utilize techniques such as traction and massage to treat muscular conditions, and apply physical agents to aid recovery.
• Evaluate and adjust orthotic and prosthetic devices, working alongside medical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and strategies to enhance the overall treatment approach.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide education and counseling to clients and their families regarding treatment plans, exercises, and the use of therapeutic devices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse population of patients ranging from individuals recovering from surgeries and injuries to those managing chronic conditions. A special focus will be placed on tailoring rehabilitation strategies that align with their unique lifestyles and rehabilitation goals. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proficient in a variety of manual therapy techniques and skilled in developing personalized exercise programs.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for accurate documentation.
• Strong foundational knowledge of contemporary physical therapy practices supported by current research.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation facility setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated capability in effectively communicating with interdisciplinary teams as well as with patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits

The Guthrie Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
