Work Environment

This is an onsite, full-time position where you will work directly with patients in our modern rehabilitation facility. Our collaborative setting is equipped with state-of-the-art resources to help facilitate patient healing and progress. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured day and ample opportunity to support and motivate your patients effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and mobility, determining suitable therapeutic approaches.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patient goals in areas such as pain relief, mobility enhancement, and overall physical function.
• Maintain a patient load tailored to the needs of our facility, typically averaging one patient per hour to ensure quality care.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques to deliver effective treatments, incorporating both manual therapies and exercise regimens.
• Educate patients and their families about their diagnoses and treatment plans, fostering a collaborative journey towards recovery.
• Document all patient interactions clearly and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Monitor and analyze treatment progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to enhance outcomes for each patient.
• Advocate for non-surgical interventions and alternative therapies that promote healing and minimize reliance on medications.
• Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with industry trends and research to enhance patient care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians and other specialists, to optimize patient care and mutual goal setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain conditions. You will interact with diverse patients, from athletes seeking to return to competitive sports to older adults regaining mobility after surgery, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and therapeutic goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California, with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Proficient manual therapy skills, along with the ability to design and implement effective exercise programs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT, with a strong ability to document patient interactions efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to motivate clients and advocate for their needs.

Preferred Experience

• At least three years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating a strong track record of successful patient outcomes.
• Familiarity with current evidence-based practices and a commitment to continuous learning in physical therapy.
• Experience working collaboratively within a healthcare team to enhance multidisciplinary care delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 125,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
