Work Environment This position is remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while still being actively involved in a supportive outpatient office setting. Our clinic operates during standard business hours, specifically Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, ensuring a balanced work‑life schedule. Collaboration with colleagues occurs through virtual meetings, case discussions, and ongoing training sessions, which helps maintain a cohesive team atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ eating disorder symptoms along with any co-occurring mental health conditions, helping to shape effective treatment strategies. Create and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable recovery goals based on their unique needs. Deliver a variety of evidence‑based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to address clients' challenges and promote healing. Facilitate therapy sessions focused on reshaping clients' distorted beliefs about body image, food relationships, and self‑esteem, ensuring a safe and trusting environment. Assist clients in developing essential coping mechanisms, emotional regulation skills, and strategies to combat disordered eating behaviors. Collaborate closely with the treatment team to ensure continuity of care and comprehensive support for each client’s holistic needs. Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about the nature of eating disorders, enhancing their capacity to foster a positive recovery environment. Maintain precise and timely documentation of clients' progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions, adhering to legal and ethical standards. Engage in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to elevate clinical skills and knowledge specific to eating disorder treatment. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on clients grappling with eating disorders, which often occur alongside other mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and trauma‑related disorders. By utilizing therapeutic techniques tailored to their experiences, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients overcome these challenges and reclaim their lives. Qualifications A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York. Proficient in evidence-based therapies specifically for eating disorders, including CBT, DBT, and ACT. A strong understanding of the complexities surrounding eating disorders and associated co‑occurring conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster rapport and trust with clients, paving the way for successful therapeutic relationships. Preferred Experience At least 2 years of clinical experience working with eating disorders or relevant mental health conditions. Experience in developing and facilitating group therapy sessions would be a distinct advantage.
