Key Responsibilities

• Administer personalized, therapeutic interventions to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries, employing techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and exercise progressions.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, assessing movement quality and functional capabilities to create individualized therapy plans aligned with orthopedic recovery objectives.
• Guide and assist patients in performing specific therapeutic exercises, ensuring safety and efficacy while promoting optimal recovery outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions and document improvements, challenges, and updates to the treatment plan in collaboration with licensed physical therapists.
• Educate patients and their families on the importance of home exercise programs and effective pain management strategies post-treatment.
• Mentor junior staff members to enhance their technical skills, fostering a culture of professional development and teamwork within the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals recovering from joint replacements, sports-related injuries, and chronic orthopedic conditions. Our patients vary in age, activity levels, and health backgrounds, requiring a tailored approach to therapy that respects each individual's unique recovery journey and goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Certification as a physical therapist assistant from a CAPTE-Accredited program.
• Active California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an orthopedic setting, demonstrating proficiency in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
• Experience with various treatment modalities, including functional exercise training, soft tissue mobilization, and therapeutic modalities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with patients, families, and team members.

Compensation and Benefits

Body Flow Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 50,000 – 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a rewarding compensation package, employees are also eligible for:
