Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Wellcure, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions to assist clients in developing coping strategies and emotional resilience.

• Providing intensive in-community therapy to children and families, focusing on tailored interventions for individuals facing behavioral challenges, including self-injurious behaviors and aggression.

• Supporting caregivers in enhancing their decision-making and problem-solving skills to manage behaviors effectively within the home environment.

• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary professionals, including educational specialists and healthcare providers, to deliver comprehensive care for adolescents and families.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and intake evaluations in adherence to organizational protocols.

• Participating in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment strategies, providing insights based on therapeutic observations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will involve working with children and adolescents aged 3-20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Clients may display a wide range of emotional and behavioral difficulties, necessitating an empathetic and tailored therapeutic approach. Your bilingual skills will enhance your effectiveness in building trust and rapport with diverse families, ensuring they feel supported in their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.

• Possession of a current, active, and unrestricted LMFT license in Florida.

• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with potential flexibility on weekends.

• Strong understanding of positive behavior support methodologies applicable to children with developmental disabilities.

Preferred Experience\n
