Key Responsibilities\n

Your expertise will be utilized to deliver high-quality counseling services, which include but are not limited to:

• Providing trauma-informed counseling for individuals, couples, and families, in alignment with each client's unique needs.
\n
• Incorporating Christian counseling principles into therapy sessions for clients seeking faith-based support.
\n
• Developing, implementing, and regularly updating treatment plans that cater to client objectives and progress.
\n
• Delivering therapeutic services to clients referred by local churches and community organizations.
\n
• Engaging in community outreach to expand your caseload, serving as a referral source for those seeking help.
\n
• Collaborating closely with other mental health professionals, including social workers and fellow counselors, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Maintaining accurate client records and timely progress notes within our electronic health record (EHR) system.
\n
• Proactively communicating with the center director regarding any scheduling conflicts or availability changes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals and families coping with various mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Our diverse client population spans across different demographics, requiring cultural competence and sensitivity to effectively support their unique experiences and perspectives.

Qualifications\n

To be a strong candidate for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field.
\n
• Strong knowledge of the Bible and an understanding of Biblical counseling techniques that can effectively guide therapy.
\n
• Independently licensed in the District of Columbia (DC) as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), or within 200 hours of completing residency.
\n
• Dual licensure in Virginia (VA) or Maryland (MD) is highly desired.
\n
• Training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or a willingness to complete EMDR basic training within three months of hire.
\n
• Proficient in various therapeutic modalities and interventions to ensure tailored client care.
\n
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and listening skills to foster trust and rapport with clients.
\n
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and age groups, adapting your approach as needed.
\n
• A compassionate, empathetic presence, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experience is preferred:

• At least one year of experience in trauma counseling.
\n
• Previous work within faith-based counseling settings or understanding of spiritual integration in mental health practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

In recognition of your expertise and commitment, the annual salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 105,000. Additionally, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including:
