Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with eating disorder symptoms and co-occurring mental health conditions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs and challenges.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, utilizing assessment findings to set achievable recovery goals and establish clear therapeutic pathways.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to address clients’ distorted beliefs and unhealthy behaviors concerning food and body image.

• Facilitate engaging and insightful therapy sessions, focusing on empowering clients to develop healthier coping mechanisms, emotional regulation techniques, and strategies to combat disordered eating.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure a cohesive approach to care, addressing clients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs effectively.

• Provide psychoeducation to both clients and their families, offering essential information about eating disorders to foster understanding and build a supportive recovery environment.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development workshops, contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical skills and knowledge in the eating disorder treatment field.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies for eating disorders, particularly in CBT, DBT, and ACT.

• In-depth understanding of the complexities surrounding eating disorders and the co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Exceptional communication skills, fostering strong therapeutic relationships and trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience working with clients suffering from eating disorders is preferred. Familiarity with treatment protocols specific to this population, as well as involvement in interdisciplinary treatment approaches, is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer competitive salaries in the range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and specialization.
