Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to document clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health from first consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Developing tailored treatment and intervention plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring they are evidence-based and adhere to best practices.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to enhance client engagement and recovery.

• Monitoring client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary based on clinical insights and client feedback.

• Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Making appropriate referrals to specialists and resources as needed to support client health and wellbeing.

• Educating and empowering family members and primary caregivers to participate in the therapeutic process and better understand mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Minimum of two years of direct experience as a mental health counselor is essential.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records and treatment documentation.

• Experience working with clients facing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of the effects of various medications and treatment plans prescribed by healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus.
