Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their specific needs and establish treatment goals tailored to substance use disorder recovery.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing approaches such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions that engage patients and foster an understanding of their recovery journey.

• Lead group therapy sessions that promote peer support and shared experiences among participants working towards similar recovery objectives.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic treatment approach that addresses both physical and mental health needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate and effective assistance.

• Educate patients and their families on addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources to empower and assist their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring patient privacy and adherence to one’s professional guidelines.

• Engage in team meetings and case consultations, contributing valuable insights from your sessions to refine treatment approaches and enhance patient care.

• Stay informed about the latest research, treatment modalities, and best practices in substance use disorder care to continually improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with adults and adolescents who are battling substance use disorders. Many patients may also experience co-occurring mental health issues, which requires an understanding and targeted approach to facilitate their overall recovery. Your empathy and supportive nature will be essential in building trust and rapport with patients as they navigate through the complexities of addiction recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the State of Arizona is essential.

• Proven knowledge of substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented care practices.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy within a substance use treatment context.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to patient interaction.

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold ethical standards while ensuring patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in computer applications relevant for patient care.
