The Family Matters Health Care Clinic is seeking a full-time, dedicated Mental Health Therapist with active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT to join our remote outpatient team serving clients in Oxnard, California. Work Environment\n

This remote role operates within an outpatient office framework, allowing therapists to provide flexible and accessible care to our clients. Working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, therapists may need to adapt their schedules to meet patient demands while ensuring that all care provided is trauma-informed and adheres to the highest ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand clients’ trauma histories and guide treatment planning.

• Creating and implementing tailored treatment plans that address each client's unique needs and focus on resilience and recovery.

• Delivering evidence-based therapies, including EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive atmosphere where clients can openly discuss and process their traumatic experiences.

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and medical professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Providing crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, identifying risk factors, and ensuring client safety.

• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and community resources available to assist in their recovery.

• Maintaining detailed and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Participating in case consultations and professional development opportunities that emphasize trauma-informed care practices.

• Staying current with research and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic techniques and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves patients dealing with trauma, including those struggling with PTSD, complex PTSD, and dissociative disorders. Our clients range from children to adults, each requiring personalized approaches to their mental health care. Your empathy and expertise will be critical in helping clients navigate through their challenges and discover pathways to healing.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic demeanor in client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

While we believe that passion and dedication drive excellent care, we prefer candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience specifically in trauma-focused therapy. Familiarity with various trauma therapies and treatment methodologies will be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n
