Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gain an understanding of patients' histories, challenges, and individual needs, followed by the development and execution of tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based practices, including EMDR and TF-CBT, to deliver therapeutic interventions that aid patients in processing trauma and building resilience.

• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions, providing a space for clients to share experiences, build coping skills, and foster community among peers.

• Work in tandem with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care for each patient's unique situation.

• Engage in real-time crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive timely and effective assistance.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to enhance understanding and support their recovery journey.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards, while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Get Well Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client population primarily made up of individuals confronting the aftermath of trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, war, and other traumatic experiences. The primary focus is on providing support and treatment for PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, with an emphasis on creating a trusting therapeutic relationship that encourages openness and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling with a focus on trauma is preferred.
