Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately gauge the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, employing standardized tools and personal interviews.

• Collaborate with clients to create detailed and individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, preferences, and treatment goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support clients in managing their conditions effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, exploring treatment options and imparting self-care strategies to enhance overall mental well-being.

• Regularly monitor and assess clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting care plans as needed to optimize outcomes.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to treatment.

• Remain informed about the latest research and best practices in the treatment of mood disorders to continuously refine and improve therapy approaches.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, conforming to legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will primarily be on clients dealing with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related challenges. You'll be empowered to work with a broad range of individuals, facilitating their journey toward greater mental well-being in a patient-centered manner.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Connecticut.

• Proven proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and integrate medication management with therapeutic interventions.

• A demonstrated history of delivering effective outcomes in treating mood disorders, underpinned by a client-focused approach.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with a diverse clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n
