Job Description Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Location: San Quentin, CA Pay: $74–$78/hour, based on license and local/travel status Schedule: Full-time contract Care Career is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for a full-time contract opportunity in a correctional healthcare setting in San Quentin, CA.

This role provides mental health services to adult patients in a secure facility setting.

The clinician will complete assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, documentation, and ongoing clinical support as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical assessments and mental health services to assigned patients
• Complete treatment plans, progress notes, and required documentation
• Provide crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments as needed
• Support patients with serious mental illness, trauma, substance use history, and other behavioral health needs
• Communicate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
• Maintain professional boundaries and follow all facility policies and procedures Requirements:
• Active California LCSW or LMFT license
• Minimum 12 months of recent clinical experience preferred
• BLS certification preferred or required by facility
• Ability to work in a correctional/secure healthcare environment
• Must be able to complete required onboarding, background clearance, and facility compliance requirements
• Strong documentation, communication, and crisis intervention skills Preferred Experience:

• Substance use or co-occurring disorders
• Serious mental illness or high-acuity behavioral health settings Compensation: This position pays $74–$78/hour based on license type, experience, and local/travel status.
