Work Environment

The selected candidate will work onsite in our outpatient office located in West Palm Beach, known for its vibrant community and access to stunning coastal scenery. The facility is designed to promote a collaborative environment where Physical Therapists, aides, and administrative staff work closely to ensure a seamless patient experience. This role typically involves a schedule of 40 hours per week, with possible variable weekend responsibilities, allowing flexibility while still meeting the needs of our diverse patient base.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Carle, you will:

• Assess and evaluate patients to develop tailored treatment plans that address their functional limitations and disabilities.
• Implement treatment plans through hands-on care and rehabilitation techniques, continually reassessing patient progress and making necessary adjustments.
• Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress accurately, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams, fostering robust collaboration and ensuring a continuum of care.
• Supervise and mentor assigned support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and adherence to established procedures.
• Engage in community outreach programs and contribute to departmental leadership functions aimed at program development and marketing initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapy team caters to a diverse population, including pediatric to geriatric patients with a wide range of orthopedic and neurological conditions. The successful candidate should be adept at working with individuals from various backgrounds and cultures, maintaining professionalism and a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency with word processing and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to engage positively with a diverse patient base and to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist is required, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Clinical exposure in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Experience developing and leading community outreach or marketing efforts within a healthcare framework.
