Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ histories and uniquely determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans centered around recovery from trauma, utilizing modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating clients’ abilities to work through trauma, establish coping strategies, and encourage a healing process.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure that patients receive integrated and holistic care.

• Provide crisis intervention support for clients experiencing immediate trauma-related emergencies, ensuring effective strategies to stabilize their mental health.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms while actively sharing community resources that may assist in their recovery.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in adherence with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in team meetings, ongoing professional development opportunities, and maintain awareness of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients we serve at Marvelous Counseling Services are predominantly individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to those suffering from PTSD, domestic violence, and childhood abuse. An integral part of this role involves establishing trust and rapport with clients who may be hesitant or anxious to engage in therapy. Your empathy and understanding will play a critical role in guiding them through their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Ability to utilize EMDR and TF-CBT effectively in practice.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, showcasing a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.

• Ability to function well in a remote, multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, allowing for a deep understanding of trauma-related therapies and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, with an annual compensation of USD 90,000 to 110,000.
