Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments using evidence-based methodologies to diagnose emotional and behavioral disorders.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that effectively address clients' specific needs and therapeutic goals, adjusting as necessary based on progress.
• Facilitate individual, couple, and group counseling sessions, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to engage and empower clients.
• Equip clients with coping mechanisms and self-care strategies, enhancing their resilience and ability to manage life’s challenges.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate clients' treatment progress, adjusting interventions and support as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated approach to client care, attending interdisciplinary meetings when required.
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential records of client interactions and treatment progress in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve are diverse, ranging from young adults facing anxiety related to life transitions, to couples navigating relationship issues, to those grappling with the effects of chronic stress or trauma. Understanding and relating to each client’s unique background and concerns will be crucial in providing effective and personalized care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia.
• Demonstrated experience providing individual, couple, and group counseling in a clinical setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients empathetically and effectively.
• An empathetic, non-judgmental approach to counseling, fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients.
• A self-motivated professional capable of working independently while also collaborating as a part of a dynamic team.
• Flexibility to adapt your schedule to meet clients’ needs, including potential late or early sessions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with specific populations, such as those dealing with trauma, substance abuse, or chronic illness, is a plus.
• Familiarity with telehealth counseling practices will be advantageous since our services operate primarily through a digital platform.
• Knowledge of current trends and theories in mental health treatment is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 70,000 and 90,000 annually based on experience and caseload. Beyond monetary compensation, we provide a supportive environment that encourages well-being and job satisfaction. Counselors will receive assistance with billing and documentation to minimize administrative workload and maximize client interaction time.
