Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform detailed, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's history and current mental health status, thus determining the most appropriate therapeutic approach.

• Design and implement customized treatment plans that address the unique needs of trauma survivors, focusing on recovery, coping strategies, and resilience-building.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Collaboration is key — regularly consult and share insights with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Conduct educational sessions with patients and families, outlining effective trauma responses, available resources, and coping mechanisms to foster understanding and empowerment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse population of clients, primarily focusing on those who have faced trauma and its various manifestations, including survivors of abuse, individuals suffering from PTSD, and clients dealing with complex emotional and psychological challenges. Your ability to understand and navigate these complexities will directly contribute to shaping their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW is necessary for practice in California.

Compensation and Benefits\n
