Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial mental health assessments and intake interviews, ensuring accurate documentation from consultation through treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral health needs to devise effective intervention strategies.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans for clients, including individuals, families, and groups, ensuring that they reflect their unique circumstances and needs.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that foster a safe and encouraging environment for healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals to create cohesive and comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Work closely with external providers, including hospitals and primary care physicians, to ensure continuity of care for clients requiring additional resources.

• Support families and caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones' behavioral health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will be working with a diverse population of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your work will directly impact their recovery journey, leading to improved quality of life and emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• Successful completion of relevant licensing examinations, such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to manage client documentation efficiently.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to address complex mental health issues and a solid understanding of treatment planning.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in mental health counseling or a related field with evidence of successful therapeutic outcomes.

• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions, as well as familiarity with the resources available within the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines.

• Understanding of co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, as well as addiction-related challenges, and their implications for patient care.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both clients and colleagues.
\n
• Empathetic, supportive interpersonal skills that establish trust and foster a healing environment for clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging between $80,000 and $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
