Our operational hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history and collaboratively develop appropriate treatment strategies.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience, integrating therapeutic techniques such as EMDR and TF-CBT.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process traumatic experiences, navigate emotional challenges, and build coping mechanisms.

• Engage in ongoing collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies, helping to stabilize patients as needed.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, healthy coping strategies, and additional resources available for support.

• Maintain detailed and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve at A Step Ahead Counseling Center include individuals coping with various trauma-related conditions such as PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This diverse clientele ranges from adults seeking help after experiencing physical or emotional trauma to clients who have faced prolonged adversity. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.

• Adept understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
