Key Responsibilities\n \n Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments during preliminary interviews and document findings from the initial consultation to treatment completion. \n Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through rigorous analysis and professional judgment. \n Design personalized intervention and recovery plans addressing the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups. \n Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, adapting techniques to meet the needs of varying client populations. \n Regularly monitor and record clients' progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary. \n Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to formulate robust intervention plans and holistic care approaches. \n Proactively manage referrals and coordinate care for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring effective communication with all medical professionals involved. \n Identify potential barriers to recovery, offering strategies to overcome behavioral challenges. \n Support family members and caregivers by providing guidance on managing clients' mental health challenges effectively. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n The licensed mental health counselor will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflicts, and addiction-related issues. Our center's inclusive approach empowers clients from various backgrounds to seek healing in a safe and nurturing atmosphere. Qualifications\n \n Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. \n A passing score on national examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). \n A strong foundation in clinical practices supported by prior experience as a mental health counselor. \n Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or equivalent, to maintain efficient documentation. \n Understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, along with addiction disorders. \n Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and standards of care. \n Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport with clients. \n Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping individuals improve their mental health. \n Preferred Experience\n \n Experience in group therapy facilitation, particularly for support groups focusing on specific mental health issues. \n Proficiency in using telehealth services and adapting clinical techniques to virtual platforms. \n Prior experience within a community health clinic or similar setting, fostering understanding of diverse client demographics and the associated challenges. \n Compensation and Benefits\n We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a sign-on bonus!
