Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day tasks include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to explore patients' trauma histories and collaboratively identify the most effective treatment strategies.

• Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and coping skills.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support therapy sessions.

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions to promote healing, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and help clients effectively process their trauma experiences.

• Working closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care for optimal patient outcomes.

• Delivering crisis intervention and support as needed during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional support.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and community resources tailored to their needs.

• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your therapeutic focus will primarily be on individuals suffering from symptoms related to trauma, including survivors of interpersonal violence, childhood adversity, and significant life-altering events. By employing a therapeutic approach tailored to each individual's experience, you will play a crucial role in helping patients foster resilience, regain a sense of control, and embark on their unique paths to recovery.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must have the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value a strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a demonstrated proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Compensation and Benefits\n
