Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents to establish a clear understanding of their psychological and emotional needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are responsive to clients’ developmental stages, family dynamics, and specific mental health concerns.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, tailored to the unique challenges faced by young clients.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure continuity and effectiveness of care.

• Provide crisis intervention services to children and adolescents experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and supportive community resources to empower them in their journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

• Engage in continuous professional development activities, including training and staying abreast of current research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents, who may present with a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. By understanding the complexity of their needs, you will play a crucial role in fostering resilience and enhancing their mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-based practices.
\n
• Experience providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents, with a strong emphasis on building trust and rapport.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex information in a child-friendly manner.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and relevant computer applications to manage patient data efficiently.

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of clinical experience working in mental health settings, particularly with children and adolescents.

• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions, psychoeducation workshops, or community outreach programs.

• Specialized training in play therapy or trauma-informed care is a plus.
