Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and interpret individualized rehabilitation programs tailored to meet each patient's unique needs, goals, and preferences.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety protocols, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive planning and delivery of care.
• Adhere strictly to confidentiality and privacy protocols, ensuring the protection of all proprietary information.
• Exhibit professionalism and integrity by following the company's Code of Conduct and completing necessary compliance training.
• Participate actively in community health initiatives, representing Easy Start Therapy and contributing to public health improvement.
• Utilize technology proficiently, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email, to document patient progress and manage therapy plans efficiently.
• Demonstrate sound body mechanics and adherence to safe practices during all physical therapy sessions.
• Independently assess situations to make informed decisions that best serve patient interests, particularly in emergency situations.
• Stay current with state laws, regulations, and guidelines pertinent to physical therapy and home care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is to serve a diverse patient population in a home care setting. You will assist individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or dealing with mobility impairments. Many of our patients present with orthopedic concerns, specifically related to outpatient orthopedics, and previous experience in this segment is highly valued. You will have the opportunity to work closely with patients and their families, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required. Candidates holding a Master's (MSPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree are preferred.
• A valid, active physical therapy license in the State of Florida is mandatory. Licensure must remain current throughout employment.
• Current CPR certification is necessary upon hire, and you are required to maintain this certification throughout your tenure in this role.

Preferred Experience

Experience in outpatient orthopedics, especially with a focus on spine surgery and rehabilitation, is preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based practices to guide treatment and provision of care tailored to individual patient needs will be beneficial. Experience working in a home care setting is a plus, as understanding patient dynamics in their own environment is crucial for effective therapy.
