Work Environment

As part of our home care team, you will work onsite in various patient residences throughout Newark, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' functional limitations and developing tailored treatment plans that reflect evidence-based practices.
• Providing consultative advice to healthcare providers regarding continuity of care and patient progress, including necessary adjustments to treatment protocols.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service, addressing and adapting to the unique needs of patients from various backgrounds and age groups.
• Engaging in thorough documentation and communication, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and professional standards while accurately submitting charges for services rendered.
• Participating in program development, community outreach, and marketing efforts to enhance public awareness of our services and foster patient engagement.
• Supervising and leading support staff, ensuring effective utilization of departmental resources and maximizing team productivity.
• Continuously improving personal competencies through ongoing education and staying current with industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients are primarily individuals facing orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and sports-related injuries. The Physical Therapist plays a critical role in facilitating recovery by designing exercise programs, educating patients on proper body mechanics, and implementing therapeutic interventions that enhance mobility and restore function. You will collaborate closely with patients and their families to ensure understanding and adherence to treatment plans, fostering an empowering environment for rehabilitation.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in computer and word processing software.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, demonstrating effective assessment and treatment skills.

Compensation and Benefits
