Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and establish appropriate therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work in collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care tailored to each patient's needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and compassionate responses.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, equipping them with resources for further support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve primarily consist of individuals who have experienced significant trauma and may be dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work closely with clients from varied backgrounds, recognizing the impact of cultural and systemic factors on their mental health experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• The candidate must hold current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
