Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues, effectively identifying co-occurring disorders and the complexities that accompany them.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, using evidence-based interventions that address their unique mental health and substance use needs.

• Provide engaging individual and group therapy sessions that focus on teaching clients vital coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and emotional regulation skills.

• Actively coordinate care with our multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and nurses, to ensure each client receives a holistic approach to treatment.

• Implement regular substance use monitoring and engage clients through motivational interviewing to instill resilience and support their continuous recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families about the critical interconnections between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment protocols for better outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation, making sure to comply with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences and training sessions to continually enhance your skills and knowledge in treating co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults and adolescents facing the complex challenges of co-occurring disorders. Our clients often exhibit a range of symptoms that require an understanding of both mental health frameworks and substance use intervention strategies. This role not only focuses on symptom management but also on empowering clients to reclaim their lives through recovery-oriented practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Demonstrated understanding of the complex relationships between mental health issues and substance use.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within an outpatient setting specifically with clients who have dual diagnoses.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
