Work Environment

The position is onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility located in picturesque Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Our facility is designed for optimal patient recovery, featuring advanced equipment and a nurturing atmosphere that encourages healing. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, in a supportive environment where your contributions directly impact patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of residents to assess their physical therapy needs, including assessing range of motion, strength, balance, and functionality.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other modalities to facilitate patient recovery.
• Administer targeted therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving goals.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
• Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs, injury prevention strategies, and general wellness practices to promote self-management in their recovery journey.
• Engage in professional development opportunities through workshops and training to stay updated on best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with residents who have diverse medical histories, including post-surgical rehabilitation, stroke recovery, chronic pain, and mobility impairments. Your role will be pivotal in helping these individuals regain their independence, improving their physical capabilities, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution.
• Must possess valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and tracking patient progress.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility setting.
• Experience working with geriatric populations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in physical therapy and ongoing education in the field.

Compensation and Benefits
