Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school nurses, educators, local operations, and clinical leadership to align on health goals and objectives for the school community.
• Implement value-based care strategies that enhance student health outcomes while maintaining high patient satisfaction and retention rates.
• Provide responsible and empathetic healthcare services, adhering to the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Board Certification guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while providing essential health services to students.
• Coordinate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams to enhance student care and ensure continuity of services.
• Conduct thorough health assessments, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions among school-aged populations.
• Lead family conferences to discuss health education, advanced care planning, and address any concerns regarding student wellness.
• Maintain thorough and compliant documentation in our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Engage in telemedicine appointments when necessary, allowing for flexible and efficient patient interactions.
• Attend to any pharmacy communications and adjust treatment plans based on student needs and recommendations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on school-aged children and adolescents within various socioeconomic backgrounds. Qualifications

• Current US work authorization.
• Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or completion of an NP Certificate Program.
• National certification from either the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• An active, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York.
• An active DEA license for prescription writing.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in school-based healthcare or pediatric settings is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) and telehealth platforms.

Compensation and Benefits
