Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed, trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate each patient’s trauma history.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient, focusing on recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual or group sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy, providing a space for patients to process their trauma and learn coping strategies.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance as needed.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, enhancing their understanding of treatments and resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards to track patient progress and treatment efficacy.

• Engage in regular case consultations, attend team meetings, and participate in ongoing professional development activities related to trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed of current research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance your therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will include individuals grappling with trauma-related issues, from those newly affected by trauma to those with long-standing psychological scars. Your empathetic approach and expertise in trauma recovery will be essential in helping clients navigate their healing journey, fostering an environment where they feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating proficiency in trauma-focused therapy.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that foster warmth and trust in client relationships.
\n
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, facilitating a supportive experience for clients.

• Competence in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.

• Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, applicants with extensive volunteer experience or specialized training in trauma-informed care modalities will also be considered. Familiarity with delivering both individual and group therapy specifically within a telehealth setting will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
