About the Role

A fast-growing, pre-Series A AI-driven recruiting tech startup is hiring a hungry Founding BDR to drive new business and help build the outbound engine from the ground up. This is a high-ownership, early-stage role with a clear SDR-to-AE promotion track — you'll start by generating and qualifying pipeline and graduate into closing your own deals as you prove yourself.

As one of the first business hires, you'll work directly with the founding team daily to shape the sales motion, build the playbook, and expand the company's market footprint across mid-market and enterprise accounts.

What You'll Do
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound qualification and outbound prospecting (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Qualify prospects through consultative selling techniques
  • Build and execute warm and cold outbound campaigns to grow top-of-funnel pipeline
  • Test and iterate on experimental GTM motions and marketing approaches
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and pipeline hygiene
  • Progress into a closing Account Executive role as the sales org scales
What We're Looking For
  • 1–5 years of experience as a top-performing SDR, BDR, or AE at a high-velocity startup or in a finance environment
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or beating quota and earning rapid promotions
  • Proven success with cold outbound prospecting — you've cold-outbounded your way into at least one high-quality opportunity
  • Experience qualifying prospects and moving deals through a sales funnel toward close
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or equivalent) and strong pipeline hygiene
  • High clockspeed, creative mindset, and willingness to grind in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
  • Bonus: You've done something most people haven't — started a company, won a hackathon, or achieved an exceptional personal milestone

Note: Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $110,000 – $140,000 USD annually
  • Commission on top of base
  • Early-stage equity with meaningful upside — join before the Series A
Location

This is an on-site role based in San Francisco, CA . Candidates in Los Angeles or New York City may also be considered.
