Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and directing individual treatment plans that aim to prevent disability, relieve pain, restore muscle function, and enhance the overall performance of clients based on their unique needs.
• Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure that patient care plans are executed effectively and accordance to established guidelines.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' functional capabilities through diagnostic tests that assess muscle, nerve, and joint function.
• Assessing the home environment of clients to provide recommendations that promote independence and enhance rehabilitation efforts.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, traction, and manual therapy techniques while instructing patients on non-manual exercises and daily activities.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, making necessary recommendations to physicians for modifications.
• Documenting client progress meticulously through initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with OASIS and other regulatory requirements.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss cases and refine treatment approaches in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Providing guidance and education to clients and their families regarding therapy devices, care regimens, and overall health maintenance.
• Maintaining an active role in the quality assurance of therapy services, ensuring that all clinical and administrative documentation is submitted timely and accurately.
• Completing functional assessments and adjusting care plans appropriately as the client's condition evolves.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
