Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position in Rochester, NY

Our facility spans over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art sports medicine technology. Work Environment

The role is fully onsite in our modern outpatient office where you will be part of a close-knit team consisting of two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our work environment fosters a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous learning. You will be expected to work at full capacity during the standard hours of Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, seeing 2-3 patients per hour in a focused and engaging setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient goals and needs for effective rehabilitation.
• Develop individualized care plans using a variety of treatment modalities tailored to each patient's unique requirements.
• Implement evidence-based interventions that promote mobility and reduce dependency on medications or invasive surgical procedures.
• Create and encourage wellness-oriented fitness programs to empower patients in their recovery.
• Monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.
• Document all patient services and care provided comprehensively and accurately, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Motivate and engage patients during sessions to enhance their rehabilitation journey.
• Help clients improve their strength, balance, flexibility, and overall coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will primarily focus on orthopedic patients who require outpatient rehabilitation services. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions that impact mobility. The goal is to assist patients in regaining independence and returning to their daily activities through personalized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid New York State Physical Therapist License without any disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills, with a solid understanding of effective exercise regimens for rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, such as WebPT, to manage patient information efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a diverse patient population.
• Specialization in manual therapy techniques or advanced rehabilitation practices is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to USD 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
