Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation process. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to identify their physical therapy needs.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that align with the patient's goals and promote active participation in their recovery.
• Delivering hands-on physical therapy techniques and exercises tailored to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
• Documenting patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on continual assessment and patient feedback.
• Educating patients and their families on effective use of therapeutic devices, exercises, and home care strategies to maintain progress.
• Coordinating with the healthcare team and adhering to legal and ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
• Managing your caseload with efficiency, including setting priorities and ensuring optimal use of facility resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus primarily on orthopedic patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. You will provide tailored interventions for individuals of all ages, helping them navigate their rehabilitation journey and fostering a supportive environment that encourages progress. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding patients through pain management strategies and functional recovery, enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or the willingness to obtain it within 30 days of employment.
• While experience in a clinical setting is advantageous, we welcome recent graduates to apply.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience or internships in orthopedic settings will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and patient management software will also enhance your ability to integrate into our dynamic team.

Compensation and Benefits

Reliant Orthopedic Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
