Work Environment

The position is onsite, allowing the Physical Therapist to work closely with patients in a supportive and collaborative setting. Our therapy facility is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and equipment, creating an ideal environment for patient rehabilitation and therapist collaboration. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, either from 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm. This structured time allows for a work-life balance while ensuring ample time is dedicated to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical evaluations of patients, identifying specific needs and conditions to develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient education.
• Implement and adjust rehabilitation programs in response to patient progress, ensuring optimal outcomes for recovery and health improvement.
• Provide clinical instruction and mentorship to physical therapy interns, residents, and other staff members, helping to foster a learning environment within the facility.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements and contribute to clinical research initiatives that support evidence-based practices relevant to orthopedic physical therapy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage patients in their recovery journey, providing motivation, education, and emotional support throughout their rehabilitation process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our outpatient facility, you will primarily work with adults recovering from orthopedic procedures, including joint replacements and fracture repairs, as well as individuals experiencing chronic pain or mobility issues. This role demands an understanding of diverse patient needs, each requiring a personalized approach to treatment to effectively manage and restore their physical health.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapy license to practice in New York State.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, modalities, and exercise prescriptions tailored to orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
