Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, developing personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as exercises, modalities, and manual therapy, ensuring that treatment aligns with regulatory standards and departmental protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards, while submitting charges for services provided.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care throughout their treatment journey.
• Participate in leadership functions, including community outreach projects, quality improvement initiatives, and marketing efforts to enhance service reach.
• Supervise and provide mentorship to support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants and interns, fostering a culture of continuous education and professional development.
• Evaluating treatment outcomes and adjusting plans as necessary to optimize patient recovery and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription tailored to orthopedic patients.
