Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Special Education teaching license (or willingness to obtain; emergency and pending certification considered)
• Enrolled in, or a graduate of, Teachers of America or ITeach programs welcome
• Experience with K–2nd Autism and/or PreK special education preferred
• Ability to cultivate a supportive, structured classroom for diverse learners
• Collaborative spirit for working alongside paraprofessionals and staff
• Strong communication skills for engaging with families and team members

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate where all learners feel respected and empowered
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to deliver consistent, high-quality support
• Maintain regular communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Track and report on student progress, adapting instruction as needed
