Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments to develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician referrals.
• Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions tailored to the patient's needs, focusing primarily on orthopedic care but also incorporating pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine considerations.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on therapeutic techniques and exercises to promote self-management and recovery.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities and techniques in both clinic sessions and patient homes, ensuring alignment with the physician's prescribed plan of care.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service and foster a warm, welcoming environment for patients to enhance satisfaction and outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team approach aimed at maximizing patient recovery.
• Meet established utilization goals and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients navigating recovery from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your skillful approach will also extend to various age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• Current state license in Physical Therapy for Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to engage patients and their families.
• Proficient in documentation and confident in using electronic health record systems for maintaining accurate patient files.
• A compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to build long-lasting relationships and exceed patient functional goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
